Secondary schools
Théâtre Varia aims to spark pupils’ curiosity and introduce them to the joys of going to the theatre.
With this in mind, we offer teachers a range of activities to support classes in an active and engaging exploration of the theatre:
- Workshops
- Events
- Meetings with artists
- Tours of Théâtre Varia
- Educational resources
These various activities invite pupils to explore different forms of expression linked to the theatre: reading, writing, physical expression, the art of speech, philosophical reflection and critical analysis. They enable pupils to approach theatre as a practice that is both individual and collective.
In collaboration with the season’s artists, we design these support activities to meet the needs of the teacher and the class. The activities take place throughout the season, either at the theatre or directly in the classroom. They are organised by the cultural outreach team in consultation with the teacher.
We also pay particular attention to welcoming classes to the Théâtre et Studio Varia. Every effort is made to ensure that class visits take place in the best possible conditions and provide a friendly, welcoming experience that encourages discovery and discussion for both pupils and teachers. Practical information regarding the organisation and preparation for your visit will be provided at the time of booking.
