The call for applications for the Factory Platform is now open! 🗓️
Once again this year, Théâtre Varia is renewing its commitment to the Plateforme Factory project, in collaboration with the Maison de la Culture de Tournai, the Théâtre de Namur and Central / La Louvière. Together, we offer workspaces, as well as technical and logistical support, to artists and companies wishing to develop their creative process or undertake experimental and research-based work.
These paid residencies are part of our commitment to supporting emerging production by offering genuine creative laboratories. We look forward to receiving your applications!
Eligible candidates are emerging artists or companies (1st, 2nd or 3rd project) active in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation who are developing their work in the field of the performing arts.
Applications must include:
- A brief statement of intent describing the project (max. 3 pages): the project’s artistic discipline, project content, themes addressed, staging options, composition of the artistic team (short bios) + the objective of the residency (dramaturgical work, on-stage rehearsals, technical research – set design, sound, lighting, etc.) and the desired period (between 20 January and 31 December 2025). A video presentation may be submitted in place of the written application.
- A budget for the proposed residency.
