A creation that goes beyond the boundaries of risk

When was the last time you took a risk?

With "Plonger", Sarah Devaux seeks to overcome her fears, to move towards her desire, to surrender to the unknown, thereby taking the risk of life itself. The scene takes place at night, by the side of a seemingly abandoned swimming pool. A young woman, making her way through the darkness, approaches the imposing diving board. Her body trembles at times, but she moves inexorably towards the end of the board. A man’s voice, coming from a steam-filled changing cubicle, calls out to her: “Are you going to dive?” The young woman is already at the edge of the void; it is too late to turn back. Suddenly, the wind picks up, freezing her body in the night, in that precarious posture that precedes the great leap.
